WHAT IS RANGER CORPS?

Like the Peace Corp or AmeriCorp,  the Fenton Farms golf club’s  “Ranger Corps”  is made of happy volunteers, who are looking to assist Fenton Farms & it’s golfers during Charily golf outings and normal weekday golf.  The volunteer serves in a “player assistance role” on the course and around the clubhouse.  The goal of the ranger corp is to add value to the player experience at FFGC.  It is to create smiles and make memories.  Hopefully through the positivity of our volunteers, the guests will not just be our customers,  but they will become our friends.  The Ranger Corp. strives to create a personal connection to the guest which enhances the experience from positive to super positive.

What will I be doing if I volunteer?

The tasks each day are different and depend on the need for that day. Some of the things you could be doing include:

• Acting as a starter on the first tee (getting the groups to tee off on schedule.)
• Encouraging the golfers to play at an acceptable pace of play (2 hours for 9 hole.)
• Helping players to find a lost ball.
• Cleaning up trash on course
• Being a visual deterrent against vandalism to the course/ golf carts  or poor golf behavior.

But mostly you are there to be a friendly face and a facilitator of service for the golfer.  Wave and smile!

HOW IT WORKS

The volunteer would schedule a specific time and date via an online sign up form on our website. As a thank you for your volunteer service, we offer a 2 player 18 hole golf pass, for each 6 hours of service. This pass may be used on any weekday and weekends before 7AM and after 2PM when available through 2019.

Another perk is the use of our driving range. For every 6 hours a volunteer puts in they will receive 1 large basket of range balls per day to be able to use at the range for up to 7 days after your last shift.

Shift sign-up is done via a link from our website and you can pick your shifts each week that you would like to sign up for. Shifts are available on a first come first serve basis.

In order to ensure the safety of our golfers, each Volunteer will have to interview with management, and may need to clear a background check.

In order to join our volunteer team you will need to sit down for a small interview from Fenton Farms. This short interview will be both for you to learn about us and our expectations and for Fenton Farms to learn more about you. If this is something you’re interested in please fill out this short form and we will contact you to set up an interview.
